Friedensreich Hundertwasser

Week 3's colours: Cool Pink, Candy Apple, Cantaloupe & Cornflower

Back in the late 1980’s when I was a student studying textile design in Pretoria, South Africa I first encountered the work of today’s featured artist, Freinensreich Hundertwasser. His colourful, unusual artworks made such an impression and have had a lasting impact on me. In 1991 when I was travelling around Europe I made a point to visit the brand new Hundertwasser museum in Vienna, Austria, dedicated to his artistic creations, his manifestos and his philosophy.
