Colourful Folk-inspired horse
Pebble shapes used to create a stylised horse using Week 43's colours
You may remember the beach pebbles I photographed on the Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland way back in June.
These were used again in this demonstration. I printed out one of the PDFs, cut out the shapes and then used them to help me to plan a horse form
In the full demonstration exclusively for contributing subscribers you can see how colours are layered with in a variety of water-soluble media before using the technique of negative painting to create a stylised horse along with some simplified floral shapes next to it.
Colours used were from Week 43.
Here’s the final outcome.
And here are some stills from the processes used to create this layered artwork.
