Number One.... Merry Christmas!
Festive themed Drawings incorporating the shapes of numbers 10 to 1
In the final project of this ten day Coloricombo Christmas Countdown, I made a layered wreath using the line shape of Number 1 as starting point and making a repeat. Masking fluid is applied in an applicator to create the simple round structure. Inktense blocks were used to add green and yellow details along with Neocolor II crayons. Versafile Pigment Inkpads were used for the deep blue background and the red dots that were done with the aid of a paper stencil - this is one of my favourite ways of creating repeated shapes quickly. I rediscovered how useful inkpads are to cover larger areas in an interesting texture, and to use generally a printmaking and stamping tool. I will be using them more frequently in demos in 2026.
Thank you to everyone who became contributing Coloricombo subscribers over the last week, I really appreciate your support! It allows me to devote more time exploring all kinds of ways to inspire you all to make time for art and embrace creativity on a regular basis.
