Sketchbook drawings using letter shapes

At the start of the year I did a live demo where I used the letters of the word J O Y to draw floral and plant shapes. If you missed it, you can see the video recording here.

Here’s some more sketchbook drawings that I’ve been doing with the same letters, in the colour palettes of Week One and Two.

For contributing subscribers, there’s a quick video demo where the whole word J O Y is turned upside down the and letter shapes are incorporated in curved stems of plant shapes.

I really enjoyed working with the limitations and keeping it really simple. You can download the template I used below.
