A little glimpse of Week 11's artwork

I’ve created a the colour mixing demo and a little painting for #coloricombo Week 11. Here’s a short time-lapse video of this house-themed painting in watercolour and white gouache with additional textural marks made with Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils.

In Other News

One of my aims with #coloricombo is to draw attention to female artists from the past, often women who were overlooked in their lifetimes or forgotten about.

You might remember Françoise Gilot, the partner of Pablo Picasso and mother of two of his children, who was featured in a Coloricombo last September. I mentioned how she left France to get away from Picasso when their relationship broke down. This article was published in The Guardian today.
