Anne Pratt (1806–1893) was a renowned English illustrator and author known for her exquisite botanical illustrations and popular books. Born in Strood, Kent, as a child Pratt was in poor heath and was virtually confined indoors. She spent her time drawing and developed a passion for botany at a young age. Her interest in plants led her to study and illustrate them extensively, producing a significant body of work that contributed to the understanding and appreciation of botany during the Victorian era.

Her illustrations were highly detailed and accurate, capturing the intricacies of plant anatomy with precision and beauty. Her illustrations were widely admired for their scientific accuracy as well as their artistic quality. Pratt's work was instrumental in making botanical knowledge more accessible to the general public, as her illustrations were featured in many popular botanical publications of her time.
