Colour mixing and artwork in Indigo, Duck Egg Blue, Scarlet & Caramel

We are still on the Dalmatia coast in Croatia where I recorded the colour mixing and artwork demo for Week 23. The audio is not quite studio quality, my apologies.

Colour Mixes

As in Week 22’s demos I’m using the six colours from the QoR Mini Urban Sketch half pan set that I have with me whilst travelling.

I’m giving away one of these in June, enter the draw on my Instagram account.

This set of half pans is quite brilliant for travelling and you can use it to create a wide spectrum of vibrant colours. Colours include: Benzimidazolone Yellow, Quinacridone Red, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Teal, Van Dyke Brown and Payne’s Grey.

The four colours of Week 23 are used to create this painting of a beetle in keeping with June’s theme of Insects.
