Week 39’s inspiration came from a children’s book illustration by Maria Keil, a Portuguese artist more known for her large azulejos tile panels in the Lisbon Metro.
Speaking of Portugal, I’ll take the opportunity to segue briefly to my only European art retreat of 2025, taking place in Caséval, Ribatejo next summer. Dates are July 14-21 and location is about an hour’s travel from the international airport in Lisbon.
